His and Hers Blog Hop

His and Hers Blog Hop!!

Holy Moly!!

Did you love Eimear Carvill's projects or what? I know I did.

So here is the "her" card...Celebrate! Who doesn't love a celebration?
I will tell you that I took this card Straight from the catalog.  I think that we forget sometimes that its a great inspiration and idea book.

On this card there is lots of layers, and that silver really sparkles around that Berry Burst flower.

So same layout for a "his" card.
Anyone else always think guy cards are much harder to do?
But this really did, just kinda flow together.  I knew I wanted to use the set, Epic Celebrations from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
I love it cause it has the word awesome in it. I am a Southern California 80's girl and Awesome is my word :))

I also knew I wanted to use the Wood Texture DSP it's one of our 6x6 stacks of dsp.
Love it! Nothing more manly then chopped wood ;)

Do you use the multipurpose adhesive sheets?
They are amazing when you are cutting out delicate details.
It basically turns your card stock into a sticker.

Did you notice I stamped on the wood dsp?
I kinda surprised myself with that one :))

And here is the finished card.
Can you see the tone on tone of the Real Red ink?

I am truly lucky to be in this blog hop with so much talent.
Be sure to check out all the blogs .
Did I mention TALENTED!!
So on to the next blog....
Susan Wong is going to show you some Awesomeness!
See, told you it was my word :))

  8. Oooo I do like the effect created by die cutting the sentiment from the woodgrain. It almost ends up looking like leopard print. Very effective. Great inspiration. Thank you x

  9. WOW!!! I don't know which card I love more! But I do love how you stamped on the wood DSP AND used it as a background to the solid "celebrate" image for the "his" card. BTW, I'm SO proud of you for blogging!
